Lake Poem

As the wind blows through my hair,
And the moss cushions my bare feet,
I realize this moment is very rare.
One that I rarely meet

I lay in my hammock,
Thinking of life and the earth
And elements and rock
Wondering what it's all worth

My heart is overflowing
With thankfulness to God
For He keeps my spiritual life growing
And that i don't sleep on sod.

My thoughts drift back to my present location
I wish i could lay here forever
But greater gifts await us in God's nation
And getting there is as simple as pulling a lever

Thank you God for your little blessings here
It gives us a taste Your skies of pure blue
I want to make teaching others about You my career.
Thank You God for just being you.
