Why Must I Write this Way?

Why must I write in such a boring tone? All the rules I am taught corner me like a cat, with me as the mouse. It cramps my writing so, my adjectives and speech can barely breath. I must concentrae so much an cramming those little thing in, I forget about periods and commas. Why can't I have some fun with "good" and "said"? (Yet, doesn't this article demonstrate some of the things I've learned?)
