Many of you writings start books on the spur of the moment as soon as you get a good idea. And really, it's good to be able to start a book that way. But most of the time many writers (especially me) get stuck in the middle of their book and never finish it, even though it had a really good plot.
So why can't so many writers finish a book, or hit writers' block? I think I've figured it out...
In my first chapter book, the Truth About Shampoo, I finished it and it looked pretty good, but why can't I finish Extraterrestrial Warriors, Guess What Happened in My Room Last Night and all the other books I've started?
It's because I didn't plan any of those out. I didn't pick the villan, hero, sidekick, places, scenes and plot. I secret of writing is to always plan out your book. Determine all the characters and their personalities and plot. It even helped me to outline some of the chapters, and then put them together.
So that's the secret of writing a book. Try it next time to start a book.
